THE DAUGHTER

Natural wine bar and bottle shop located in Davisville at the corner of Bayview and Belsize. To highlight the beautiful colour spectrum of these natural wines, a palette of minimal materials and textures have been carefully selected.

Natural crust stone blocks filled with wonderous fossils allude to the minerality found in wines. Their extruded forms as if they were directly extracted from the complex soils of a vineyard are contrasted with carefully curved edges and reveals. The hand-troweled floors and walls provide a contemporary backdrop. Contrasting brushed white oak fins guide customers into the space while integrating concealed storage. The design plays with the existing strong horizontal lines of the venue. Bold moves with elegant details, a mix of japanese minimalism mixed with raw nordic textures.   

The wines are presented like jewels in a carefully curated space that provokes feelings of intrigue, mystery, and romance with a balance of artistic touch and restraint.
